Mark Two: The Interview

Hello!
So, interviews. As I have afore mentioned, my father is acting as my mentor. His mentorship is, as are many other aspects of this project, not limited to the assigment. For as long as I can remember, I have been sitting in his office chair, asking questions, learning, bringing my little girl life problems to the Council of Elrond *ahem* I mean, the wisdom of my dad... Point is, he has always been there for me. He is a business owner, and works from home desigining houses and doing 3-D floor plan renderings. During the days, he listens to conservative radio talk shows, such as the Glenn Beck Program and Rush Limbaugh. This is a custom he has kept up for years. It is, however, not his job, but his moral code, his phililosophers mind, and his fatherly guidance that had complely shifted my own heart to desire truth and peace. Father of five, an avid reader, follower of politics, author and philosopher, let me introduce my father and mentor: William.

(Note: my questions are in bolded text. Each question will hold an explanation at the bottom of the page.)

What are your thoughts on the government forcing vaccines on children?*

I don’t think it is the states right to force anybody to take vaccines.

What are your thoughts on federal government within state government? Do you think they should become one and the same?**

No. I think that would violate the constitution quite badly.

How so?

The Constitution was written giving certain limited powers to the federal government, and it says that any other rights and powers not specifically mentioned, are reserved for the states. And most of what the federal government is outside the bounds of constitution, but certainly local law enforcement and child protection services, and things like that, should be local. Education should be local. Local things work better, because you can reach out and touch, or call, your local representatives. But you can’t get in touch with people in Washington.

What do you think you think is progressing with government growth and implementation?***

(Greedy and power hungry people are trampling the rights of citizens?) What I think we have is we have developed a two classed system, really and oligarchy, where we have the ruling class of people and the lower class of people, the ruled the sheep. And the ruling class just grows and grows and their job, their desire is to protect themselves and their friends, and that’s what they do, And because they are the ruling class they have the power to do so. That is what is going on there.

Would the sheep be… simply anyone with a midlevel income?

I don’t mean sheep. It isn’t a matter of income, the ruling class of income are the people who think.. in the reality, the way the government was supposed to work, the average person is supposed to have the power, because they have the votes. They vote, and that is what empowers the politicians. But, we have kind of gotten away from that, because even though people can vote, they are manipulated by poor education, they are manipulated by media that is biased, they are lulled to sleep with comforts and with government welfare and all sorts of things. And it is done on purpose by this ruling class of… not just politicians, but lobbyists and lawyers and so on and so forth.

What do you think needs to change for the people to wake up and respond to… or see even, what is going on in the world?****

I honestly think that the only thing that can save our country is a real revival. Politically speaking, there are things that could happen with better leadership. If we had better leadership from Washington, things could get better but, it is hard to see how lasting and significant change could happen until people get woken up on a spiritual level, so they really begin to value truth instead of comfort. You know? There is a thing that I say, it is in my book but… You can trade your peace for pleasure, but in the end, you will end up with neither one. What we are doing, as a country, we are more interested in Kim Kardashian than we are interested in the NSA spying on us, or the militarization of our police force, because we are fixated on what makes us feel good. But, it is not going to make us feel good for very long. So, that kind of problem, that entitled mindset, is only fixed… really when someone encounters God.

* As of late, the Californian government is attempting to pass a bill that would make it mandatory for al school-attending children to receive 25 vaccinations by August, 2015, without ability to opt out due to religious or ethical reasons. These vaccinations are known to weaken the immune system, and severely affect mental stability and functioning. They are traced back as the cause of many cases of autism :  link

** The federal government has recently been making its presence severely known in the responses of "state" authorities. Military like responses, Homeland Security taking authority over simple local affairs, etc. source: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/08/20/outcry-after-military-veteran-detained-for-anti-government-facebook-posts/

*** With the growth of government, which includes spying from the NSA and giant cover-up schemes, I was wanting to share my father's opinion on the state of government.

**** No one seems to see what is happening in our Nation. People seem to be so blind to the destruction of their freedom. I want so deeply to see people live with liberty, mercy and justice.

/The Beginning/
by R. A. Verhey

Hi there. Welcome to Mark One of my twenty-percent project. The goal of this blog, which is the entirety of my twenty-percent project, is less to achieve academic grades, and more to see something that has been on my heart for years, put into action. I want to see America become the best she has ever been, and though I would say the best that she will ever be, I am afraid that would be selfish of me. I want that for my children, and for my children’s children. John Adams once wrote, “I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.” I believe that it is our time once more to study war and politics. The world is changing – in fact, it has been changing for the last ninety-five years. History has been made before our very steps, on a path carved by destiny. The question we as limited human beings must ask is, where is that path taking us? We cannot answer this directly, though we can, however, look to the past. The events of today have fallen into place before us, and just maybe, it has been a shorter period of time than you may think. The World Wars, 9/11, ISIS… Though the events of today may seem random or new because fancy filters have been applied, history repeats itself. If I am right in the opinion I share with many others, it is now our job to study our history, so that we may not be blind to the path our feet do tread.

Over the next few weeks, my goal is to make you think. To logically see the stories that race through the news, and more importantly, look to our future with an clear perception of what must be done. My goal is not to be right, it is not to get a good grade, it is not to look good in front of any body. I want to see my generation walk in strength in who they are, and who they were called to be. One of the greatest stories I can think of to instill the reality of destiny, is the story of America. Where the farmer becomes the leader, and the orphan becomes the inventor. America truly is the land of dreams, it is the land of freedom, it is the land of the brave. It has been paid for by the blood and sacrifice of many men and women, who believed that this last light post, this great idea that is ever growing on the shoulders of the people, is worth every drop of sweat, ever bullet taken, every life lost. It is our privilege, our duty, to carry that idea of freedom to our very deaths. But not out of guilt, nor out of order, but out of love. For in love, comes identity, and in every love there is a calling of destiny. Therefore, my challenge to you, is to find that which you love- for that is what makes America great. Not money, not politicians, but people, loving what they do, and doing it well. In this, destiny will find us, and freedom cannot fail to follow.
